The acrocanthosaurus, of the theropod family, was a large bipedal predator that can measure up to 12 meters long and a weight of 7.2 tonnes. Its name which means "high thorns" comes to him thorns ending his vertebrae. It is assumed that they made it possible to fix long chains of muscle on the back, the hips and the neck of the predator. He also had a long and powerful tail which allowed him to counterbalance the head and body as well as small anterior legs ideal for capturing and maintaining the prey during hunting.
