The black rhinoceros is a relatively imposing animal, the largest males can measure up to 3.50m for a weight of up to 1500kg! It is distinguished from other races of rhinoceros, not by its color which is the same as that of a white rhino (for example), but by the shape of its more stocky skull, as well as the presence of two deeply rooted horns. Lonely in nature, it only activates falling from the night and meets its fellows only during the breeding period. If the latter has a very good smell and a fine hearing, you should know that it is however almost blind and struggles to distinguish forms beyond 20m. The black Rhinoceros of West Africa is a declared species extinguished since 2011.
