Papo Elephant seal (2017)

Belonging to the phocidae family, the sea elephant is easily recognizable thanks to the nominal -shaped nasal protuberance that males have, protuberance at the origin of their name. There is within this species, a very important sexual dimorphism with males 3 to 4 times more imposing than females. Indeed they can measure up to 6m for a weight of up to 4 tonnes when a female, it will only measure 2.50m for 500kg. These mammals are also excellent divers, they can dive up to 80 times a day and descend up to 1800m deep.
