He imposes on it by his posture and his gaze but yet the gorilla is an harmless animal. This frugivore mammal is the largest living primat, it is the biggest and strongest in all monkeys. An adult male can thus reach 2 m in height when he stands, for almost 280 kg. His longevity is approximately 45 years, he lives in groups as a family and as in any family, it is the oldest who directs. It is a threatened animal, it is much sought after for its expensive skin.
