Le Patou, with its real name "Mountain dog of the Pyrenees", is an old breed dog appreciated by the shepherds. It is particularly present in the Pyrenees. Even today it is used to protect herds from possible predators, such as bear or wolf. It is a large, relatively structured dog that wears a long and mainly white hair dress.
