The Colvert duck owes its name to the green color that the plumage of males takes, at the level of the head, during the nuptial period. You should know that apart from this period, its plumage does not have this very special green shade, it has indeed a beige coat similar to that of the new born. Measuring up to 68 cm long for 1.2 kg, it is today the best known of all ducks.
