Papo Playing dolphin (2014)

The dolphin is a marine mammal belonging to the order of cetaceans. This excellent swimmer has lungs and can hold back his breathing for more than 20 minutes underwater. The vent, this small hole he has on his head allows him to renew his oxygen on the surface. He is also able to descend to great depths. It is a very sociable animal which lives mainly in groups (from 15 individuals to several hundred depending on the species); A definite advantage to protect yourself from predators but also to hunt the benches of sardine or mackerel. Dolphins emit ultrasound and use echolocation (like a Sonar) to orient themselves and detect the presence of obstacles or fish benches.
