The Ptéranodon is one of the best known pterosaurs. This flying reptile lived on earth in the upper Cretaceous, 70 million years ago. With a scale of 7 to 9 meters, he moved by hovering over the oceans to fish in the manner of our current Pelicans. His jaw is devoid of teeth which suggests that this very good fisherman swallowed the whole fish. The ridge on his head was counterbalanced with her elongated beak and his skeleton had to be light due to the hollow bones of her wings.
