The sea lions, like some sea lions, belong to the Otaridae family. These are carnivorous marine mammals who are able to live on earth as well as in sea. However, just like their cousin the seal, they spend the majority of their lives underwater and go to earth only to rest and to reproduce. The sea lions are very good swimmers, they use, unlike the seal, their four members to swim: the previous ones are used for propulsion and the posterior to direct.
