The whale shark, easily recognizable by his skin of dark gray marked by clear spots, as well as horizontal and vertical strips ranging from white to yellow, is the largest fish in the world. However, despite its imposing size and 34 tonnes, the whale shark is completely devoid of aggressiveness and is harmless to humans. Like the blue whale, the latter feeds exclusively with plankton, seaweed or even microscopic animals, which it absorbs in its wide mouth.
