The whale shark is now considered the largest living fish currently on earth. It evolves in the temperate and warm waters of all the globe oceans which are in the tropical belt. It is a lonely animal that regroups only at the time of reproduction. The latter is a mystery for scientists who assume that the females would be ovoviviparous. At birth, the young whale shark measures between 45 and 50 cm.
